Village
East Drugs is a Part of Las Vegas History
After three decades in business,
the little drug store started by Ron Stanley and Russ Zuardo
has grown into a multi-service, multi-location business.
In 1973, Stanley and Zuardo relocated
to Las Vegas and opened the first Village East Drugs at 5025
S. Eastern, at the intersection of Tropicana and Eastern.
The first prescription filled
at Village East Drugs was for State Senator Bill O’Donnell.
Since that time, Village East Drugs has filled over one million
new prescriptions for the people in our neighborhood,
including such Las Vegas notables, as Elvis Presley ,Redd
Foxx and Wayne Newton.
The original location still remains,
but after 31 years, many things have changed. The intersection
itself has gone from gravel roads to one of the busiest in
